American Hemerocallis Society (AHS)

The AHS is an organization that exists to promote and improve the daylily. It has thousands of members who range from home gardeners to professional growers and hybridizers. For your membership fee of $18 for individual or $22.00 for a family, you receive a quarterly full color publication with interesting articles about daylilies, and news of the society.

The central organization is broken into regions, of which there are 15 that cover the U.S. and Canada. There are also many members from around the world. AHS members are automatically members of the region in which they live, and receive the regional publication (at least 2 a year). Members also have the opportunity to attend AHS conventions and Regional meetings which usually feature plenty of garden tours. The one unofficial benefit of membership in the society is the great fellowship and lasting friendships with other daylily enthusiasts. If there is a local daylily club near where you live, you can also participate in the club's activities. Visit the AHS Web site and learn more!
