Hemerocallis 'Olympic Queets Meadow' (2007) Tetraploid, Pale lemon cream with purple
eye and edge above green throat.
32" scape, 5.25" flower, Late Midseason, dormant,4 branches, 20 buds,
extended.
(Desperado Love x Border Lord), Seedling #98-27.
'Olympic Queets Meadow' blooms later in the season, after most cultivars are on the wane. Although it was registered as a Late-Midseason (ML) bloomer, it may just as well be considered as Late (L). A mature clump is covered with the easy-opening eyed blooms whose green throats create a cooling effect in the summer heat, but this is not evident in the photos. Also misleading in the photos is the lemony creme petal color that shows as apricot. Named after the lovely remote meadow in the Queets Basin of Olympic National Park. Fertile both ways.---$20.00. |
