Annual Region 8 Meeting for 2010 Hosted by Columbia River Daylily Club
Date: Friday evening, July 9 through Sunday mid-day, July 11, 2010 Hotel headquarters: The Holiday Inn, 25425 SW 95th Avenue, Wilsonville, OR 97070. Phone 503-682-2211 or 1-800-465-4329. The $99.00 (US) rate is for a room with a king bed or two doubles; additional persons $10.00. Mention Columbia River Daylily Club or AHS Region 8 when registering, and request this special rate, which will be available until June 17. Special Guest: David Kirchhoff and Mort Morss of Daylily World Meeting Events : Friday evening: Fun and fellowship, pick up your registration materials and hand-crafted tote bag. Other activities to be announced.Saturday, start the bus tour bright and early, Garden Judges' workshop begins as we approach the very eclectic and beautiful garden of Gail Austin. Next, on to Phyllis and Ariel Enriquez' garden where seedlings abound among the registered varieties. Picnic lunch at Peninsula Park; then to the the artfully compact and exquisite garden of MaryAnn and Bob Borcherding. Finally, we see the large and rustic garden of JoAnn Ferguson where shade plants and daylilies vie for prominence and where we complete the judges' workshop. Back at the hotel, we have our banquet and drawings for the Chinese Auction items. Sunday breakfast is provided and we have our regional business meeting and elections followed by the much-anticipated presentations by our speakers and our regional auction.
Registration Fee: $70 US until June 25, then $80.
